Peter Do is a fashion designer making his own mark on the industry through his thoughtful design. I was inspired by the interview magazine article featuring the designer along with Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, so I put my own twist on the conversation and designed three magazine spreads to express the tone of each individual. The outcome was influenced by Do's background and rise to fashion, as he began his journey by patching clothes together. For this reason, I wanted the imagery to appear as if it's all being thoughtfully layered over one another to represent his experience. I decided to emphasize Do's fashion collections through a display of a minimal aesthetic in the color palette and typography.
In addition to the spreads, I created two small typography-based animations on audio snippets from videos featuring Do and Leon. I wanted to focus on their speed of talking, the way they said certain words, and the content of their dialogue while tying everything in to the magazine above.
